STL week - we  visited so many local attractions through our smart board and guest speakers - 1st up Mrs. Kish CARDINAL DAY

STL - Second graders  -Jack and Ayven - came to tell us about their 1st field trip to the Butter House, so we made butterflies

STL- Mrs. Diesel  STL Zoo

STL- Gateway Arch - we tried making our own out of ice cubes and salt

Catholic Schools Week was great!  Father Carl came in to talk about how Jesus teaches us how to live, we made valentines for veterans, surprised Mrs. Whitworth and Father came back to bless our throats for the feast of St. Blase.  What a busy week!

STL - Laurmeier Sculpture Park - we designed our own eyeball sculpture 

St Louis Blues hockey came to ICS!

We enjoyed the Memphis music scene by making our own guitars and getting the rhythm with instruments

Fine motor work at centers

Memphis -  Mr. Altadonna, Mr. Kish and Mrs. Diesel came in with presentations about Memphis' music, baseball, cotton and CIVIL RIGHTS :)

12 measures then  repeat 12 measures then repeat... Mr. Hake taught us about the blues beat

Dr. Jodi - Rhett's mom came in for Dental Health Month

New Orleans- Mrs. Oberkfell brought beignets and beads in. WOW! what a treat

New Orleans cruisine was Mrs. Kish's topic as she showed us the alligator on the table.  Then we were chefs and made our own recipe of red beans and rice... yum

Mardigras fun - king cake, jester hats, musical parade

Our book exchange was a hoot and the big kid readers really made it special!

Sharon Nealon- our sign language expert came in to teach us how to say "I LOVE YOU" just in time for valentines day

Mrs. Whitworth taught us all about portrait drawing and all the elements that make it life like.  We practiced on a friend.  They turned out amazing!
